2024 Treasurer Candidates

Krish Agarwal

Candidate for 2024 Treasurer

Hello! My name is Krish Agarwal, and I am running for the position of treasurer this year. Here’s a little bit about me - My hobbies include wrestling, chess, music (I play the piano and guitar), and math. If you went to Miller last year, you might recognize me as last year’s treasurer. If elected, I will work hard to make sure that our class has the funds we need to put on amazing events for the student body. I hope to use, and build upon, the skills/experience I gained from two years in the Leadership class at Miller!

Aarya Aluri

Candidate for 2024 Treasurer

Hey 2024! These past few months have been hard to adjust to, especially with school starting remotely. As class treasurer, some of my goals are to make the most of our budget so there’s no overspending, be open to change, and primarily make the most of freshman year! I will make sure class spirit is present during remote learning. Outside of school I learned the importance of communication and encouragement. As class treasurer I will use all my skills to help sustain an inclusive environment. AAR YA ready for a great year? Vote Aarya for treasurer!

Lily Fang

Candidate for 2024 Treasurer

Hello everyone. I understand all of us have had hardships over the past six months, starting with COVID-19 and now with wildfires surrounding us, we are in a tough situation. To keep this short, my goal is to make sure your freshmen experience is the best it can be. I want to provide an incredible school year despite all of those events. One year you won't forget. After all, we are stuck in the same position. I don't want this year to be remembered as a year of monotonous meeting, and hopefully you don't either. Thank you for your time.

Ava Roohipour

Candidate for 2024 Treasurer

Hey, It’s Ava Roohipour, and I’m running for class treasurer. For me, class spirit has always come first. So, with my advocating and money management experience, I can put the fun in fundraising. I’ll post results of fundraisers, and I’ll involve student input for what we can do better. So, why vote for me? Well, in the past, I’ve had much experience with fundraising and taking action on things. For example, I ran the money intake for game night at a senior center. With my skills, we can make our fundraisers more student inclined and enjoyable. Sooo, go vote!

Anshul Singh

Candidate for 2024 Treasurer

2020 kinda sucks. Most of us missed some of the best parts of both middle and high school. But through unity and hard work, it will get better, and that’s why I’m running. My name’s Anshul, and I’m running to make sure that our freshman year isn’t entirely boring zoom calls, but one that includes fun memories other than rewatching avatar. If elected, using my years of leadership experience as a founder and president of multiple clubs, as a debate tutor/competitor and natural leader, as a teammate and a friend, I will make sure we get things done.

Justin Tseng

Candidate for 2024 Treasurer

I think we're all in agreement that 2020 isn't the greatest. With freshman year starting, school consists of breakout-rooms with 4 muted people. My hope as class treasurer is to salvage what is left of freshman year--face it, without physical school, what will we do this semester? leadership can make sure that we can save some of this year's activities, and the treasurer is imperative for getting events funded.
experience-wise--I've done part of the finances for my boy scout troop the past couple of years and also have a passion for all things money.
So vote Justin for Class Treasurer!

Sophie Yang

Candidate for 2024 Treasurer

Hello Lynbrook students! My name is Sophie Yang, and I am running for the position of Treasurer. My goal is to maintain and improve Lynbrook’s financial health so students can get the most out of our funds. To achieve this goal, aspects such as savings, budgeting, and fund distribution must all be carefully supervised and recorded. My related experience consists of managing a checking and brokerage account and participating in two fundraisers over the past summer. I am a fair, honest, and hardworking individual who will work as diligently as I can to ensure the security of Lynbrook’s cash.
